Services

Caribbean Breast Assessment Limited (CBAL) offers a comprehensive range of breast surgical services.

Breast Oncoplastic Wide Local Excisions & Simple Lumpectomies

Oncoplastic surgery is an approach for breast cancer patients that improves cosmetic outcomes. To do this, surgeons will combine breast cancer tumor removal (a lumpectomy or partial mastectomy) and plastic surgery techniques (reconstructive surgery) at the same time of breast conservation surgery.

Breast Cyst, Duct Ectasia Excision & Complete Duct Excision

A breast duct excision, involves removing the end of all the milk ducts (total duct excision) or less commonly removing a single milk duct (microdochectomy). The tissue that is removed during the operation is examined under a microscope in the laboratory.

Simple Mastectomies, Skin-Sparing & Nipple Sparing Mastectomies with Implant Reconstruction

Total (simple) mastectomy: Your breast and chest muscle lining are removed. Modified radical mastectomy: Your breast, chest muscle linings, and the lymph nodes in your underarm are removed. Skin-sparing mastectomy. Nipple-sparing mastectomy: This is a skin-sparing mastectomy that also preserves your areola and nipple.

Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy, Targeted Axilla Dissection & Axillary Clearance

To check if cancer has spread to the axillary lymph nodes, most people have a procedure called sentinel lymph node biopsy during breast surgery. You might have surgery to remove most or all the lymph nodes in the armpit (axilla) close to the breast.
